Terry has been working in product design since his teens, then went to Cardiff University to study Law, Accountancy and Economics.
He joined Spearmark International in 1969 as product designer, and was subsequently Managing Director. He has been interested in hydration for over 20 years and in 2017 created a spinoff company Spearmark Health Ltd to develop Droplet, a drink reminding system which is now in use in NHS hospitals and in care homes throughout the UK.
With NIA help he is now working on the second generation: internet-connected mugs, tumblers and drink bottles that allow older and more vulnerable people to live healthier and safer lives in their own homes.
