This two-day event provides an established forum for health and care professionals to come together and learn from successful adoptions and practical implementations of digital health and care.
Alongside the NIA, 2018 speakers are set to include Matthew Swindells, National Director, Operations and Information at NHS England; Rachel Dunscombe, Chief Executive of the NHS Digital Academy; and Harpreet Sood, Associate CCIO of NHS England.
How patient involvement has supported national spread of three innovative care pathways
The NIA will share learning and insight as to how intrinsic involvement of patients has been to accelerate engagement with adopter sites, drive effective scaling strategies, and create sustainable demand for innovation in the NHS.
The focus will be on three innovative care pathways, which are all being supported to scale nationally by the NIA:
- Coordinate My Care: empowering patients to make decisions about their end of life care
- ERAS+: better equipping patients and families in preparation for and recovery from major surgery
- HaMpton: enabling expectant mothers to self-monitor for hypertension in pregnancy
Attendees can also gain insight of findings from the NIA’s year one Evaluation, published in March 2018. This independent Evaluation evidences patient involvement as one of two critical success factors in the adoption and spread of health innovation.
Catch the NIA on Day Two of the Congress, Wednesday 11 July, at 2.20pm.
