The MaST COVID-19 dashboard identifies people currently using mental health services who are also on the Shielded Patient List (SPL) and those who are otherwise vulnerable because of COVID-19 infection or restrictions.
It supports improved decision making by presenting the Risk and Complexity measures along with information on people’s COVID-19 status, physical health and social vulnerability.
MaST COVID-19 had been launched in Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust where there are at least 5700 people shielded and currently on the caseloads of their mental health services. The dashboard is providing a means to identify and prioritise these individuals for proactive support in line with the priority actions set out in the Second Phase of NHS Response’ letter dated 29th April 2020.
This data driven insight enables rapid stratification of mental health caseloads and helps to inform future service development by providing the Trust with strategic view for the use of resources such as telephone support, online therapies and telehealth which will be required during recovery and restoration phases and in the longer term as we return to a new normal.
