Holly Health: Personalised, compassionate digital coaching
Find out how Holly Health is delivering personalised, compassionate digital health coaching to help people overcome day-to-day mental and physical health challenges, and what being part of the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) means to them.
Grace Gimson, Co-Founder and CEO of Holly Health, has created a platform to support people in making sustainable habit changes that will not only improve their quality of life, but also reduce chronic condition symptoms and ease pressure on NHS services.
In their latest success, Holly Health is now being promoted across Patient.info – a platform which gets 8 million views a month and is used widely for patient health education, referred to by NHS clinicians.
What is Holly Health and what problem does it solve?
Holly Health provides personalised, yet compassionate, digital health coaching designed to help people overcome everyday physical and mental health challenges. The platform supports users to build sustainable habits that improve quality of life and reduce chronic condition symptoms, at population scale.
By blending behavioural science, clinical insight, and human empathy, Holly Health offers continuous, user-centred coaching for mental wellbeing, physical activity, sleep, and long-term condition management. It fills a crucial gap in healthcare: the lack of ongoing, accessible, and appropriate support that helps people make lasting lifestyle changes.
“Holly Health tackles the missing piece in healthcare – consistent, personalised support that helps people make sustainable improvements to their wellbeing.”
What was your inspiration and motivation?
The Holly Health team is united by a shared frustration at seeing people struggle with their mental and physical health alone. Too many people face barriers to accessing support, whether through long NHS waiting lists, a lack of local services, or digital tools that don’t feel truly human.
The team’s motivation is simple: to make personalised, impactful coaching accessible to everyone who needs it, wherever they are, and to help reduce pressure on overstretched health services in the process.
“We’re driven to bring impactful, compassionate coaching to the millions who currently go without, because nobody should have to face their health challenges alone.”

Looking ahead

The team hopes to see a step change in NHS adoption, where proven, evidence-based tools like Holly Health become part of everyday care pathways, supporting prevention, self-management, and recovery at scale.
“It’s time for appropriate, proven innovations to become central to NHS delivery, not peripheral or ‘nice to have’.”
