Tony and his innovations, SHREWD Resilience and WaitLess, were supported by the NIA from 2017-2020.
Tony’s clinical background was in radiology before entering informatics. As Programme Director, he led on the first community-wide PACS programme and then moved on to the Pan London PACS programme, Kent and Medway as Programme Director and SHA deputy CIO. Since then he has been involved in large-scale clinical IM&T programmes including EPR/EHR, PACS, RIS and Pathology, covering acute, community, mental health and primary care on a national and international basis. He established, grew and sold Bluestar Group to System C before establishing Cloud21 and CTOi Group. Tony spent over two years as Global Strategic Partnerships lead for Google DeepMind to establish their health business. He is currently working on a doctoral research project with Warwick University and Chairs CTOi Group. He was appointed as CEO of Transforming Systems in November 2019.
SHREWD Resilience enables the whole health and social care system within a defined area to access real-time data.
WaitLess is a patient-facing app that allows patients to find the quickest, most suitable location for minor emergencies and pharmacies, based on live waiting time and travel information.
