S-Press
S-Press is a rehabilitation tool enabling effective leg muscle strengthening for patients to speed up physical and functional recovery after illness or injury and shorten length of stay.

Jen Turner is a physiotherapist with over 25 years of hands-on NHS in-patient and community rehab experience. Through observing many more complex and deconditioned patients being admitted to hospital and having slow physical recoveries, she was frustrated by the lack of effective leg strengthening equipment available to help this significantly at-risk patient group improve their baseline strength quicker to enable better outcomes and shorter length of stay.

In 2018 Jen set up JT Rehab Ltd to develop the equipment that these patients needed. The S-Press is an easy to use, safe, and effective portable, progressive leg strengthening device that patients can use when in their bed, chair, or wheelchair.

With the combined support of Arthritis UK, NIHR Devices for Dignity (she is now an Ambassador), Sheffield Hallam University, Advanced Wellbeing and Research Centre, Innovate UK Women in Innovation, HINEM and 12 NHS hospitals trialling the prototypes and giving feedback, including a published pilot study and 12 month real world evaluation across 4 sites at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust (NHFT), she has proven clinical need in multiple clinical areas and produced a helpful and effective tool for both patients and physios.
