Majid Akram
Dr Majid Akram is a GP and Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) at Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board, working at the intersection of clinical practice and digital transformation. He is the Founder and CEO of Deep Medicine Ltd and the clinical lead behind vMDT, an award-winning digital platform designed to modernise multidisciplinary team (MDT) working across health and social care.
Majid’s innovation journey began from frontline frustration with fragmented, manual MDT processes that delayed treatment optimisation and increased clinician workload. This led to the development of vMDT — now deployed across Lincolnshire — demonstrating a 32% increase in MDT productivity and a 28% improvement in treatment optimisation. Outcomes have been presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress (2023 and 2025), and the programme won Best Long-Term Conditions Project at the 2023 General Practice Awards.
His interest lies in building scalable, clinically grounded digital infrastructure that enables integrated neighbourhood care, reduces health inequalities, and supports sustainable workforce transformation across the NHS.
