Paul Jewell

Paul Jewell is a medical registrar doctor with over eight years of frontline NHS experience. Since medical school, he has been disappointed by the state of technology in healthcare, yet equally energised by its potential impact. This led him to learn AI and software engineering, build AI products for clinicians, and quickly develop a deep understanding of the importance of safety, security, and regulatory compliance.

He recognised that the path to regulatory compliance and safe deployment for new technology is challenging, involving complex requirements and excessive manual work, alongside a distinct lack of specialised tools. He realised he was far from alone in feeling frustrated with spreadsheets and the excessive time and cost associated with compliance. There had to be a better way.

That is why he co-founded Assuric, an automated compliance, governance, and assurance platform for healthtech and AI, built to accelerate the adoption of beneficial, safe, and secure technology into healthcare. Today, healthtech teams ranging from early-stage startups to enterprises, as well as healthcare organisations from GP practices to hospital trusts, use Assuric to assure and deploy technology with greater safety, speed, and confidence.
