TORTUS is an AI assistant for clinicians, an interface that combines multiple state-of-the-art AI systems into a single assistant. Today, TORTUS listens to consultations, automatically drafts medical notes and letters, clinical coding. Tomorrow, TORTUS will summarise information from systems, and perform downstream tasks under clinician supervision, such as ordering tests or follow-ups.

TORTUS is the first British company to deploy in NHS hospitals this technology, with a world-leading research partnership with GOSH and the wider London hospital systems. TORTUS is a pioneer in clinical safety in this field, publishing multiple clinical papers on the academic science of clinical evaluation and guard railing, and becoming the first of it’s kind in the world MHRA-registered medical device. TORTUS was founded by NHS clinicians and ML scientists in the prestigious accelerator Entrepreneur First, and is live in hospitals, GPs and ambulances across the UK today.
