Anubix supports expansion of publicly funded post-mortem CT services in Greater Manchester
Anubix, a specialist provider of post-mortem imaging services that helps healthcare and coronial organisations deliver compassionate and evidence-based death investigation, has announced a significant milestone in the expansion of its post-mortem imaging services, with the launch of a new publicly funded post-mortem CT service for the Greater Manchester North coronial area.
Delivered in partnership with TIC Health, the service will cover Rochdale, Oldham and Bury and is scheduled to launch in August. The initiative forms part of a publicly awarded contract valued at up to approximately £3.7 million over a 10-year period.
The agreement marks a further step in Anubix’s growing role in providing post-mortem imaging services across London, Greater London and South Manchester, supporting coroners and local authorities in offering families a less invasive alternative to traditional post-mortem examinations where appropriate.

Post-mortem CT imaging can provide coroners with valuable diagnostic information while reducing the need for invasive procedures in some cases. The new service is intended to enhance access to this technology for families across the Greater Manchester North coronial area. The contract also reflects increasing recognition of the role advanced imaging can play in modern death investigation services, helping to improve efficiency, support family choice and deliver high standards of care.
Anubix said the Greater Manchester North agreement builds on its existing work across multiple regions and demonstrates growing confidence in post-mortem imaging as part of public-sector coronial services.
