During his distinguished career, he has gained a reputation as an innovative and dynamic leader, renowned for his clinical expertise and unwavering commitment to patient care. In recent years, Marcus has turned his attention to Medical Technology Innovation, using his expertise to identify, develop and implement life-saving equipment and systems, revolutionising the field. His ground-breaking work in the MOD was recognised with an OBE awarded by HM Queen Elizabeth in 2021, cementing his position as a pioneer in the field of healthcare Innovation. Marcus supports digitals start-ups/SMEs, not-for-profits and charities across a spectrum of medical activities. He is a mentor on the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur’s Programme and undertakes advisory work for industry, academia and government bodies alike.
