Haris Shuaib is Founder and CEO of Newton’s Tree, a medical AI company that delivers an enterprise AI platform to healthcare organisations to help them evaluate, deploy, and monitor 3rd party AI solutions. An international leader in medical AI, he is also a Consultant Clinical Scientist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS where he built and led the first dedicated medical AI team in the NHS and oversaw 50+ AI projects. In addition, he is Director of the national Fellowships in Clinical AI, the world’s-first clinical training programme for healthcare professionals to develop practical AI skills. He is also Chief Investigation of a DHSC-funded national AI Trial.

Haris’s influence extends beyond the NHS through his foundational work on the AI standard for the BSI, illustrating his commitment to setting high-quality benchmarks in health technology. Finally, he also holds a NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship, where he is leading a national multi-centre trial to see whether AI can improve the treatment of glioblastoma.
