MyRenalCare (MRC) is a digital health solution used by patients and renal clinicians and supports all stages of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) from screening to all stages of CKD, dialysis and transplant.
Individuals can lose 90% of their kidney function with no symptoms, with many individuals currently undiagnosed. The tragedy is there are NICE approved treatments, which if administered early, can significantly delay the progression of CKD and potentially avoid the need for dialysis.
MyRenalCare has integrated with point of care testing devices, allowing individuals to be screened in the community for CKD with instant results. Individuals can access their results and education content to help them understand their condition, what to expect next, and how they can start self-managing their condition.
For individuals with CKD, MRC empowers them to self-manage their CKD from home with remote support from their Renal Specialist. This includes accessing education content, self-monitoring their blood pressure and weight, and accessing their laboratory results. Individuals can contact their clinical team any time on MRC (patient initiated follow up, PIFU). This is more convenient and affordable for patients, with 89% of patients using MRC, preferring it to traditional management practices.
Clinicians use MRC to access real time data and remotely monitor their patients enabling more data driven and timely interventions resulting in fewer complications. Clinicians can use MRC to deliver 100% virtual consultations (no phone or video calls) which only take 5 minutes, far more efficient than traditional 15mins face-to-face appointments.
MRC is currently being used in Tertiary care and independent health economics shows MRC increases capacity 33%, reduces costs 25% and reduces carbon emissions.
